Pets Bring Joy to Country Club Manor

Pets help to make a house a home. Here at Country Club Manor we embrace and celebrate our pets and the joy they bring to our residents and staff.

There’s even research now that shows that pet ownership provides health benefits to seniors that enhance and enrich their lives. It’s been shown that pets can ease stress, lower blood pressure and encourage social interaction.

All this serves to help those suffering from depression and loneliness, and according to Dr. Jay P. Granat, a New Jersey psychotherapist, as quoted in this article on AgingCare.com. Dr. Granat shared, “Dogs and other pets live very much in the here and now. They don’t worry about tomorrow. And tomorrow can be very scary for an older person. By having an animal with that sense of now, it tends to rub off on people.”

Country Club Manor subscribes to this philosophy. We have several residents who keep pets and everyone enjoys our furry friends. Here are some of the pets that currently reside with us.

Country Club Manor Celebrates the Hard Work and Dedication of Staff

Country Club Manor is so grateful for the hard work and dedication of its staff. It’s the kindness and supportive care that our staff provides that helps to foster the family atmosphere and brings to life our culture of carrying directly from the heart.

Each year CCM looks forward to honoring its staff at the Annual Staff Appreciation Party. This year, Administrator, James Cowley, with help from Life Enrichment Manager, Cindy Kvick, pulled out all the stops. They put together an entire afternoon of food, beverages, and games. The staff was able to invite their families and it was a hoot to watch the kids play games together. Many prizes were awarded, especially to those who participated the most, in the outrageous games designed to get a laugh. Well fed and laughed out – it was a very successful event, indeed.
